Introduction
CrewQuest is a group-based social app built around challenges, games, memories and content shared between members of the same group. The information described below is processed to provide those features and operate the service.
Information We Collect
The categories of information used depend on the features you enable and the content you choose to share.
- Account information: email address, nickname or display name, avatar or persona, and a technical account identifier.
- Group information: groups you create or join, group membership, roles and information required for invitations.
- Game information: challenges, participation, approvals, progress, scores, rankings, votes and other actions performed in CrewQuest experiences.
- Shared content: photos, videos, comments and other media or content submitted to a group.
- Notification information: preferences and technical identifiers required to deliver notifications when this feature is enabled.
- Technical information needed to operate, synchronize, troubleshoot and protect the service.
How We Use Your Information
We use information to create and secure your session, manage groups and members, synchronize activity, run games, calculate scores and rankings, display the gallery and enable interactions between group members.
Technical information may also be used to troubleshoot issues, protect the service and respond to support requests.
Photos and Videos
CrewQuest lets members upload photos and videos for challenges, game proofs and the group gallery. These files are sent to the CrewQuest backend and stored with the information needed to associate them with the correct account, group or game.
Some media may be temporarily locked by a reveal mechanic. The lock controls how the content is displayed in the experience; it does not mean the file has not been transmitted to the service.
Groups and Shared Content
CrewQuest spaces are organized around groups joined through the invitation flow. Group content is intended for members of that group and the features enabled within it.
Other members may see information related to your participation, such as your nickname, avatar, contributions, progress and ranking position when those elements are part of the experience.
Notifications
CrewQuest may send notifications related to group and game activity. Notifications require system permission where the platform requires it and can be disabled in your device settings.
Data Retention
Information is retained for as long as necessary to operate the account, groups and relevant features, then deleted or de-identified where applicable. We do not state a fixed period here when that period is not documented by the service.
Some information may need to be kept for longer where required by law, security needs or dispute resolution. Specific periods by category must remain aligned with the effective backend configuration and applicable requirements.
Account and Data Deletion
CrewQuest provides an account deletion action in the account management area. After confirmation, the request is sent to the backend to run the deletion process implemented by the application.
If you can no longer access the account or want to make an additional request regarding your data, contact support@crew-quest.fr from the email address associated with the account where possible.
Security
CrewQuest uses a server API, a PostgreSQL database and public access designed to operate over HTTPS. The architecture is intended to limit direct exposure of internal components and protect communications with the application.
No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security. If you suspect a security issue, contact support@crew-quest.fr.
Third-Party Services
CrewQuest is built with React Native and Expo for the mobile application and is distributed on iOS through Apple’s App Store. Apple platform services may process their own technical data under Apple’s terms and privacy policies.
The CrewQuest service uses its own Node.js / Express backend with Socket.IO and a PostgreSQL database managed with Prisma behind the project’s HTTPS infrastructure. No analytics, advertising or crash-reporting provider is named here without confirmation that it is actually used.
Your Rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights including access, correction and deletion, restriction of processing and, where the relevant conditions are met, portability of certain information. Other rights may apply depending on the legal basis for processing and your circumstances.
To exercise a right or ask a question about your information, email support@crew-quest.fr.
Children's Privacy
This policy does not set a specific minimum age beyond the rules that apply to the service. If a minor’s use of CrewQuest raises a question about personal information, a parent or legal guardian can contact support@crew-quest.fr.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This policy may be updated when CrewQuest changes, when a new service is integrated or when applicable requirements change. The date shown at the top of the page identifies the current version.
