02

Data we use

TravelQuest processes only information required to operate the app and the features you choose.

  • Account, display name, avatar and authentication information.
  • Groups, roles, invitations, dates and practical trip information.
  • Game participation, approvals, scores and point history.
  • Photos, videos, reactions and other content shared with the group.
  • Technical data, diagnostics, offline synchronisation and notification tokens.
  • Optional data linked to connected services, including Spotify.
03

Purposes and legal bases

Data is used to provide accounts, private groups, games, galleries, leaderboards, synchronisation and support. This processing is necessary to deliver the service. Notifications, phone permissions and optional connections rely on consent. Security and abuse prevention rely on our legitimate interests.

04

Sharing within a group

Group content is available to its members according to their role and the game rules. Owners and administrators have additional management and approval tools. TravelQuest does not make this content public by default.

05

Recipients and providers

Data may be processed by BTM Studio, authorised group members and providers strictly required for hosting, notifications, media storage and optional enabled services. It may also be disclosed where required by law.

06

International transfers

Some technical providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where applicable, we use safeguards provided by law, including adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

07

Retention

Data is kept for as long as needed to operate accounts and groups, then deleted or anonymised under applicable obligations. Archived groups and memories remain available until deleted. Technical backups are erased through their normal rotation cycle.

08

Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, and object to certain processing. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier operations. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL.

09

Account deletion

Account deletion can be requested in the app when available, or by email from the address linked to the account. Some shared contributions may be anonymised rather than deleted when necessary for group consistency or a legal obligation.

10

Permissions and local storage

TravelQuest may request access to the camera, photo library and notifications only when the related feature is used. Its local-first approach temporarily stores some information on the device for use with an unstable network. TravelQuest does not request access to contacts or precise location.

11

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational safeguards, including access control, private groups, encrypted communications, role-based permissions and logging of important events. No system is completely secure; suspicious incidents should be reported promptly.

12

Minors and image rights

Group managers must ensure they have the necessary permission before sharing an image of a minor or third party. Legal representatives may contact us to exercise a minor’s rights.

13

Tracking and automated decisions

TravelQuest does not use private content for targeted advertising and does not make decisions with legal effects based on automated profiles. Limited technical data may be used for security and diagnostics.

14

Policy changes

This policy may evolve with the app, its providers or the law. The update date appears at the top of the page. Appropriate notice will be provided for material changes.
